Kre O 30662 Transformers Ratchet Review

Recently I went to Toys R'Us and saw an awesome Kre-O Devastator set. So without hesitation I bought it and coincidentally since Ratchet is also on sale (50% off for starmembers) I picked one up as well.
Today I shall do a little review of Ratchet from Hasbro's Kre-O Transformers line.

The box has a handle for carrying and is sealed via clear tape on top and both sides of box.
the box is designed to be reusable so that's a plus.

This set is 187pieces so it averages at SGD$0.11 per piece(according to SGD$20 offer price)
So that's GREAT!!

First here's the brick list for this set.

Here's Kreon Rachet and the Medic. They're almost the same scale as Lego minifigures but has more articulations more around namely the shoulders and hips are ball jointed so you can swivel sideways/ up & down. Personally i would prefer Ratchet's crown to be red rather than black.

The neck, wrist and waist is connected via a single peg so you can turn as well. Overall it's very well executed as opposed to Lego's straightforward articulations.

No back face and torso printings on both figures. Ratchet comes with a blaster.

Can put the robots head on top of the Kreon body (thought it's not the same fitting)
It's almost the same size as the actual Kreon head lol

We get 8 pieces of tools (for repairing Autobots i think) which is definitely more suitable for a tow or maintenance truck rather than an ambulance

Alternate mode: Ambulance

The ambulance is of a ok size for a medium set.

Though one thing i find strange is the choice of red headlights and yellow for the sirens?
No biggie though we can swap it if we want.

Back of ambulance has 2 opening doors, this looks great on pic..
but personally i would prefer a 'lift up' door as it would make the back area more accessable

You can fit the stretcher in the back but it's not a perfect fit

 Top and bottom views

The front wind screen section can be removed to put the medic kreon in.
There's no door or steering wheel in the compartment.

Robot Mode
I gotta say this is one fine looking robot
The combination of Red/White/Grey makes this robot look vibrant like his G1 counterpart.
The box shows Ratchet with grey fists but it comes with red ones instead.

He doesn't come with any weapon for his robot mode?
Better not run into any Decepticon haha

He's quite detailed all around
and if not for exposed brick pegs, he might pass for an actual Transformer toy lol

His head resembles his G1 counterpart.

Now let's check out his articulations!

He has ball jointed neck, shoulders and ankles.
Swivel elbows and knees
Fists can only turn at the wrists.

Here's a few quick poses of Ratchet

The ball joints are tight so he can hold poses quite well

If Hasbro has added a waist articulation it would enable more posing options

Overall i'm very happy with this set except a few small nitpick here and there like no waist articulation and weapon, this is a very good steal at SGD$20:)
Hope you folks liked this little review, till next time
Have a nice weekend! Ciao for now!
